Young people from the Gulf of Morrosquillo migrate primarily to Colombia's larger cities in search of better opportunities. With each ton of Green Aluminum produced by GALTCO in Colombia, the GALTCO Team is, on average, saving the planet from emissions equivalent to 7.7 tons of the greenhouse gas Carbon Dioxide, compared to Aluminum produced with fossil fuel energy. 

By producing 540,000 tons of Primary Green Aluminum per year, GALTCO will save the planet from emitting 4.15 million tons of Carbon Dioxide, equivalent to the emissions produced by the use of 467.64 million gallons or 1,770 million liters of gasoline.

GALTCO will further save the planet from more greenhouse gas emissions by supporting, enhancing, and expanding Aluminum recovery and recycling in Colombia.

GALTCO's Green Non-Mining Vision brings the best of the Green Aluminum world to Colombia while respecting the country's valuable environment.

By making Aluminum industries available in Colombia, GALTCO will accelerate the use of Aluminum parts in Colombian vehicles.
